Under general supervision of the General Manager, this position has primary responsibility for accurate, timely maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.

•  Maintains records of financial transactions and accounts; posts transactions.

•  Assists in properly controlling day-to-day fiscal matters.

  • Conducts monthly closing of the books.
  • Prepares monthly financial statements, including a variance report.

•  Coordinates annual tax filings and planning with independent outside accounting firm.

•  Processes receipts, deposits, checks, monthly reports, bank reconciliations and so forth.

•  P rovides administrative support by maintaining ongoing processes, following procedures and implementing standard policies.

•  Completes administrative tasks, account analysis, accrual reports and projects assigned.

  • Reviews and maintains accounts receivable and posts client transactions including contracting, leases, billing, and cash management. Interact with clients to collect payments due.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Minimum 3 years bookkeeping experience.
  • Competent with accounting software package and proven capability to learn and utilize new accounting software packages rapidly and effectively. QuickBooks strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Excel (training and experience) and ability to input, create and utilize formulas and multi-function spreadsheets
  • Dependable and detail-oriented. Capable of making sound recommendations and decisions.
  • Generally computer literate (email, Internet, databases and word processing systems/tools).
  • Consistent professional appearance, deportment and demeanor.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Position is located in the company's LA-based office ( Century City , 90067). No relocation available for this job.
